Information about Group Visits

We'd like to welcome your group to visit campus. We can offer groups of 10 or more a private campus tour. Due to the high volume of requests we receive, we cannot accommodate groups of students who are not yet in high school. Please see the information listed below regarding group tour rates. Scheduling Details

Requests must be submitted at least four weeks prior to visit. Submission of the group tour request form does not guarantee your visit. Please allow 7 business days for processing. A confirmation email will be sent once the tour has been secured and finalized. Once you receive your confirmation email, you'll receive payment details.

Please note we are unable to accommodate group visit requests during the month of April, due to increased campus visitor volume.  In addition, group visits are not available during the months of May and December due to university exam schedules and breaks.


Campus Tour

Student ambassadors will lead an hour-long walking tour that'll highlight a number of academic buildings and student facilities on campus. Visitors should wear weather appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes to walk in. It's also a good idea to bring an umbrella. In the event of lightening, the tour will immediately conclude to ensure the safety of visitors and guides.


Information Session

Information sessions are offered to students who are seriously considering applying to Carnegie Mellon. The hour-long long session will showcase academic programs, opportunities outside of the classroom, the admission process and financial aid. Due to limited space and to ensure sufficient seating and compliance with on campus safety regulations, in order to have your group attend an information session, please indicate your interest on the Group Visit Request Form below.


Etiquette

We ask that the appropriate number of chaperones accompany all groups on campus. Additionally, during campus tours, we expect a certain level of etiquette and respect from guests to our Andrew Ambassadors and campus. Our campus tours are meant to be an educational experience. Should students be observed conducting themselves in an inappropriate or distracting manner that takes away from the education value of the campus experience, our Andrew Ambassadors have the right to conclude the tour.


Checking In

Please leave plenty of time to navigate through Pittsburgh traffic. Visitors should plan to arrive at the Office of Undergraduate Admission lobby located on the first floor of Warner Hall at least 15 minutes early. If the group is late, the tour will be shortened. If the group is more than 15 minutes late, the tour will be cancelled.
