Carnegie Mellon students work hard in the classroom, but they’re also active outside the classroom. Whether it’s competing in the next game, volunteering in the community or acting on stage, our students know how to balance their interests.
Our 17 NCAA Division III varsity sports compete in the UAA conference. In addition to the 15 clubs and 30 intramural sports, all students have the opportunity to compete on the field, in the pool and on the court.
With over 250 student-run campus organizations, there are many opportunities to get involved in creating your college experience. Our organizations represent various social, service, media, academic, spiritual, recreational, sport, religious, political, cultural and governance opportunities for all students.
Thinking about going Greek? About 21% of students participate in social fraternities and sororities. Greek Life students are active in many campus traditions, along with the rest of the student body.
