Our offices of Housing Services and Dining Services are committed to helping you make Carnegie Mellon your home away from home during your undergraduate years. From LEED-certified residence halls to the many amazing coffee shops dotting our campus landscape, Carnegie Mellon's campus amenities blend incomparable access to city life with the creature comforts of a traditional, walking campus community!

All first-year students are required to live in university housing. Housing Services guarantees housing for all four years if you remain in the university housing system, which about 65% of students do. There are a variety of housing options with various amenities available, including laundry facilities in some residence halls.

Housing assignments are processed in the order that enrollment deposits are received. It’s important to keep in mind that the earlier your enrollment deposit is processed by the Office of Admission (due by May 1), the better chance you’ll have at receiving one of your housing preferences.
