The Office of Admission offers Information Sessions throughout the year. Right now, we invite you to attend one of our live Virtual Information Sessions, where we'll bring the Carnegie Mellon experience to your doorstep. Please note that we've paused our on-campus events and are currently rescheduling our off-campus events due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Join our Admission Mailing List to stay up-to-date about future in-person events, both on campus and in your area.
Our Virtual Information Sessions are live events designed to share with you to learn more about the Carnegie Mellon experience. Led by our admission counselors, these hour-long webinars feature student stories, faculty highlights and detailed information about academics, student life and the admission and financial aid processes. You'll also have an opportunity to ask questions. Register here!
If you can't make it to a live event, watch a virtual version of our Information Session below for a comprehensive snapshot of Carnegie Mellon.
For those applying to join the Fall 2021 first-year class and beyond, SAT subject tests are neither required nor recommended, and these scores won't be used in our admission review process.
Please note that we're not holding on-campus events at this time.
From February through November, we offer an On-Campus Information Session for students who are looking for more information about the value of Carnegie Mellon, our unique academic options, our campus community, and the admission and financial aid processes. This session lasts an hour and is followed by a Q&A session. Visitors can also participate in a campus tour after the information session.
In addition to the campus tour, various schools and departments within Carnegie Mellon offer departmental tours and events. This is an opportunity for prospective students to tour facilities, attend an information session or meet with a faculty member while on campus.

In the early summer and fall, the admission staff travels to various parts of the globe, hosting Information Sessions in hotels or high schools. These Information Sessions offer an experiential look at the university through student and faculty stories.
