Summer is an ideal time to visit campus here in Pittsburgh. If you’re looking to start planning your visit, we have opportunities for students to discover our distinct colleges and programs, tour campus and even visit a residence hall.
If you've never visited before, your time on campus should definitely include a tour, information session and perhaps even a residence hall tour. These are exceptional looks into the life of Carnegie Mellon students and provide you a chance to learn about our academic programs, student life, the city of Pittsburgh, admission and financial aid.
To dig a bit deeper into your specific academic interest(s), be certain to make time for a departmental tour or event. The vast majority of our academic departments at Carnegie Mellon make themselves available to visitors (with enough advanced notice, that is) and provide a chance to engage directly with faculty, staff and students.
An interview with our admission staff will give you the chance to tell your story and gauge your fit with Carnegie Mellon. Is your visit schedule so jam packed that you can't squeeze in an interview? Thankfully we have alumni throughout the world who will be ready to meet with you this fall near your hometown.
Parking on campus? Need directions? We've got you covered. Looking for something to do while you're in town? Explore Pittsburgh, and see what the buzz is all about in this up-and-coming city.
Making travel plans? Booking a Hotel? We do everything we can to make your visit to Carnegie Mellon easier.
If you're unable to visit campus, we might be visiting your hometown in the fall or summer - check our travel schedule for updates. You can also check out campus from the comfort of your computer by viewing our online campus map.
Finally, if you like what you saw and want to come back for even more Carnegie Mellon, we'd gladly welcome high school seniors to attend one of our Turn Tartan Overnight Weekend events. Turn Tartan Overnight Weekends are a special way to deepen your knowledge of Carnegie Mellon by spending the night with a current student and attending classes the following morning. Turn Tartan Overnights are held through the fall and early winter.
