Engage Online through Virtual Opportunities!

We get it - one of the best things about a campus visit is meeting new people, and that's difficult to do without visiting in person. Luckily, we're offering opportunities to engage with current Tartans, including students, faculty and admission staff.

Reach Out to Admission

Virtual Counseling Sessions

Schedule a virtual counseling session to discuss any questions that you may have with an admission counselor. This is a great opportunity for you to speak with an admission expert on next steps, financial aid, life at Carnegie Mellon - or anything else that's on your mind. Feel free to have family or friends join in on your appointment if you wish.

The "I'm In" Line

If you have questions about financial aid or enrollment, use your admitted student VIP phone number to get access to the admission staff! Call 412.CMU.IMIN (412.268.4646) and ask to speak to an admission staff member.

Have Fun!

Create a Custom Viewbook

Can't wait until August to see what life will be like as a Tartan? Create a Carnegie Mellon Custom Viewbook to explore academics, research and student life, all in one easy spot and all tailored to you.

Paint the Fence

Painting the Fence is one of Carnegie Mellon's most beloved traditions. The Fence sits in the middle of campus and acts as a billboard for student groups. Traditionally, the Fence must only be painted between midnight and sunrise, in its entirety, using only paintbrushes. Want to keep the message up longer? Two students keep watch around the clock or they risk another group staking their claim!

However — you can get a head start on our campus tradition, by painting the fence virtually!

Tell Us What You Think

Your insights on the admission process are invaluable, so share your experience by filling out the Carnegie Mellon Admitted Student Questionnaire! To complete the survey, you'll use your Admission ID, which you can find in your admission decision letter, as your login and your last name as your password.

Take the Questionnaire!
