Are you going to be a junior or senior in high school? If so, consider spending the summer in one of our six distinct Pre-College Programs, from June 30 - August 11, 2018. You can either explore architecture, art, design, drama, music or the National High School Game Academy to prepare yourself for study at the college level. Through our Advanced Placement/Early Admission (AP/EA) program, you can take two challenging college courses in order to gain advanced placement and get a head start in college.

Our Pre-College Programs will show you what life at Carnegie Mellon is all about – from in the classroom to what’s happening on weekends. You’ll meet people from all over the world, be inspired by our world-renowned faculty, take part in the excitement of campus life and have the opportunity to explore the city of Pittsburgh.

Students must be in high school, have completed their sophomore year and be 16 to 18 years old (born between August 6, 1999 and June 25, 2001). This doesn't apply to commuters in the AP/EA program who have a permanent address within Allegheny County.

We invite you to attend a Pre-College Preview Day on Monday, February 19. Pre-College Preview Day will provide students and their families with the opportunity to hear about the value of our Pre-College Programs, meet individual Pre-College Program Directors and representatives from Student Life, and also hear from current Carnegie Mellon students who previously attended Pre-College. We’ll discuss both the academic and social/residential aspects of our Pre-College Programs. Pre-College Preview Day has reached capacity for 2018.
