Priority Waiting List

March 24

Admission decisions are released online.

April 10

If you elect to remain on the Priority Waiting List, you may submit the Waiting List Reply Form via the Where Am I in the Process? portal beginning April 10. You'll be asked to submit a short response as part of your Waiting List Reply Form submission. No deposit is required at this time. If you're offered admission from the Priority Waiting List, you'll be required to post a non-refundable $800 enrollment deposit within 72 hours. Deposits won't be accepted prior to a student being admitted from the Waiting List; any deposits received prior to this point will be returned. Carnegie Mellon makes no guarantees about admission from either of our Waiting Lists, so you should also enroll at another college or university.

May 1

After the May 1 enrollment deadline for admitted students, we'll know if any space remains in the first-year class for students on either of our Waiting Lists. Students that elected to remain on the Priority Waiting List will be contacted on this date if space is available in one of the academic programs they applied to.

May 4

Students that elected to remain on the Priority Waiting List will be notified of their admission decision via the Where Am I in the Process? portal no earlier than May 4. Any students offered admission from the Priority Waiting List will be required to post a non-refundable $800 enrollment deposit within 72 hours. Students should review their financial aid offer letter on their portal prior to enrollment. At time of enrollment, a student's financial aid offer becomes effective immediately.
