Laying the Foundation for Society with a Civil Engineering Degree
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) offers an accredited and widely recognized degree program for entry into the civil engineering profession. The role that people play having a civil and environmental engineering degree, in the broadest sense, is to apply technology to meet society’s needs.
Graduates of this program work for a wide range of engineering and non-engineering organizations and work on a wide range of activities, such as academic research, government service and private sector activity. Civil engineers plan, design, and manage facilities used daily by the public and industry, such as buildings, airports, water supply and waste management systems.
