Engineering Focused on Materials Education and Nanotechnology
The Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) has a long and distinguished tradition in materials education and research. MSE is an interdisciplinary activity that applies the principles of basic sciences and engineering to understanding the behavior of materials, their development and applications.
Graduates of MSE are pursuing careers in a variety of companies, national laboratories and universities, focusing on areas like microelectronics, energy production and storage, biomedical applications, aerospace, information technology, nanotechnology, manufacturing and materials production.
