A Theoretical Philosophy Degree with Practical Applications
The undergraduate philosophy programs are designed to develop students’ practical and theoretical skills both inside and outside the field of philosophy.
Students in the philosophy department benefit from internationally recognized faculty who work not only in traditional areas of philosophy, but also in contemporary and applied areas of philosophy, such as machine learning, game and decision theory, conflict resolution and business ethics.
The Department of Philosophy offers four degrees:
- BA in Philosophy
- BS in Logic and Computation
- BA in Linguistics
- BA or BS in Ethics, History and Public Policy
The department also offers minors in Ethics, Logic and Computation, and Philosophy.
